What is going on with Stereophile's subscription department???

I have been a subscriber for eight years at my current address (in Canada). I have always received my issues correctly and my auto-renewal has always happened without a hitch or any interaction from myself. This past year I noticed that my June issue had not appeared around the time I should have been receiving my JULY issue. I called the subscription office and was told that my auto-renewal was late(?) and they don't keep back issues in stock anymore, so I will never see the June or July issue. Nice. Apparently the correction to this "oops" was that my subscription would start two months later, so I would still get my 12 issues. Whoopie. At the beginning of this month I again realized I had not seen the October issue...the one everyone waits for. This time I emailed customer service and was told, so sorry, we would like to replace the October issue but we don't have any copies, so you'll have to wait. Seriously? Am I to believe that there will actually be a reprint or a cull from what few retail storefronts are left out there? Seriously, I have done nothing wrong on my end, other than pay my bill (automatically), and there has been no offer of remorse, compensation, etc. Truly crazy in the day of shrinking print media.

Fake Sound & Vision Renewal

I just received a subscription renewal form from Sound & Vision. It even came with a fake end date for my current subscription. I've been a subscriber to Stereophile since before JA took over as editor but have never subscribed to Sound & Vision. I'm not very excited about them using the Stereophile subscribers list to try and scam me. What's up with that?

Missing issues

Since the takeover I have not received most issues. The missing ones include July, August, September, November and December. The Gods smiled on me for the October issue. Needless to say I won't be re-subscribing. I've been an on again off again subscriber since the early 1980's. The present management doesn't seem to care very much about subscribers. When I report a missing issue before the 30th I'm told to wait till the 30th. When I report on the 30th I'm told there are no more of that issue. For a while I was told my subscription would be extended. I don't get that any more.

I always get my copy but I changed my address via the website...............4 months later.....still ships to the old address!
One would think that the sub base would be the main priority given the lack of tendering to the digital side.

Mail subscription problems

A longtime subscriber, since december I, too, am experiencing missing issues: some issues skipped, other delivered. The Subs service always promptly replied to my email, but could only offer an extension of the expiring date of my current subscription. I Live in Europe, and my copies are delivered by the NLPost service, from the Netherlands: maybe there's a company there that can be called to arrange for the missing backissues. Any idea?

I apologize for the poor fulfillment service you've experienced. Have you tried calling the International customer service number, listed on the masthead in the magazine?

If that doesn't work, contact me offline--my email address is also on the masthead--and send your address, and I will attempt to get missing copies to you, if the missing copies are still available.

overseas subscription problems

I want to thank you and all SP's Staff, who helped me sorting out this. Almost all missing backissues were found and arrived today. I really appreciated it.
Thank you again for the attention devoted to my little problem and keep up the good work.
