Speaker replacement advice please?

I have an old pair of Cerwin_Vega SE series speakers that the bass baffle (Is that the correct terminology?) has rotted out. Best advice for replacing them? They are 125 watts and 10 inch Thanks in advance! - Rob

Do you want to put in new drivers to repair them, or buy completely new speakers?

What kind of music do you listen to, and what amplifier/receiver are you driving them with, and how much money do you plan to spend?

Speaker repair/replace

I would like either option, if they could be repaired, why not? But my post comes after I tried to search for that bass speaker. I couldn't seem to find that particular speaker (not surprising I suppose because it is about 30 years old) and found a wide range of prices from about $60 a speaker to over $140. I have a Technics SA-DX930 and listen mostly to rock and jazz from the 60s and 70s on CDs. Photo of damage... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155424467657476&set=pb.6669874...

Repair Kit

Amazon has a Cerwin-Vega Repair Kit for replacing the surround on their 10-inch drivers for $21.95 each (per speaker). They are for a long list of 10" speakers, including the 240SE and 250SE.

They should do the job.

It includes the materials plus instructions and a video.

Perfect!

Thanks, I hadn't even thought to look for such a product! I'll order it right now and post the results. Again, thank you.
