Hafler P125 Amp

OMFG - I’m sure a lot of you are going to laugh at this, but I just got an old Hafler P125 amp off e-bay. The thing is beat to crap but the sound is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It sounds like the musicians are in the room with me. So I’m a newbie, but paired with a NAD 1240 pre-amp and a pair of Ascend speakers it is as close to live music as I’ve ever heard.

I believe the P125 was

I believe the P125 was actually designed by Jim Strickland (also involved in design of many of Acoustat's speakers) primarily for studio use. I never owned one of them but had a Transnova 9505 which was also a Strickland design. A very good amplifier, I probably should have kept it as it was a good performer but aren't very highly valued on the used market. Glad you're enjoying your Hafler amp. Even under Rockford's ownership after DH sold the company, Hafler roduce good sounding products that unfortunately were perhaps not as successful in the market as the earlier Dynaco branded products.
